UPCOMING CITY COUNCIL DISCUSSION ON THE ADVANCING MARICOPA GENERAL PLAN UPDATE

The Advancing Maricopa General Plan - Planning & Zoning Commission Draft was released on Thursday, March 5, 2026. The City of Maricopa held two public hearings with the Maricopa Planning & Zoning Commission on this draft of the General Plan Update on Monday, March 23, 2026 at the Maricopa Library & Cultural Center and on Monday, April 27, 2026 at the City Council Chambers. A decision was made by the P&Z Commission on April 27th to recommend the Advancing Maricopa General Plan - Planning & Zoning Commission Draft to the Maricopa City Council for consideration of adoption. The City Council will discuss the recommended Draft Advancing Maricopa General Plan on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. The City Council will also hold a public hearing for the Draft Advancing Maricopa General Plan scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at the Regular City Council Meeting.
